Puppy Kindergarten!

The funnest class around!

Meet the Teach Jodi Preston

Jodi is one of our Super Animal Hospital Staff. She has recently taken over conducting our Puppy Kindergarten classes. The puppy kindergarten program is constantly improving and we have graduated over 100 puppies!! Our goal is to familiarize pet owners with puppy training procedures that will properly socialize puppies to both people and other pets. We want pets to be an integral part of the families that house, feed, care and, most of all, "LOVE" them!

More about Puppy Kindergarten Class - Hard Work, NOT!!!!

The reason we started Puppy Kindergarten classes in our hospital was because less than 35% of all dogs live out their lives with their original owners. The reasons for this vary, but typical complaints include biting, destructive chewing, excessive barking, elimination within the home, and general unruliness-habits that most often begin in the early months of puppy hood.

Our primary purpose is to socialize the puppies to different puppies, people and situations to prevent a subsequent fear of these things. We practice puppy socialization exercises during our class time. We also cover some basic obedience training such as sit, down, stay, heel, and come. Video tapes and handouts are presented that cover a variety of topics about "puppy hood". The class is for puppies between 8 and 16 weeks of age. It is 4 weeks long and comprised of hourly sessions held on Tuesday evenings right here at Animal Hospital. Our goal is to help new puppy owners make their puppy a well-adjusted, social member of their family.
