Foreign Body, My foot!

3840j.JPG (59645 bytes) Meet Jefferson. He is a two and half year old chocolate Labrador and real tough cookie.

3840jf1.JPG (98926 bytes) He first came up lame on his left rear leg with an associated puncture and swelling of his central pad on that foot. With initial antibiotic therapy and cleaning of the wound, Jefferson made normal progress over the next 10 days. After the antibiotics were finished, Jefferson's again became swollen and uncomfortable. More work up needed.....

3840jxr.JPG (65631 bytes)  This radiograph revealed the problem. Radiology helps us diagnose problems that we are, otherwise, unable to see or feel.
