Recently the Compendium of Animal Rabies Control which issues guidelines for Veterinarian and Public Health officials on rabies control allows for ferrets to be quarantined the same as dogs and cats involved in a bite incident if vaccinated with an approve rabies vaccine. We use only approved vaccines for both protection against Canine Distemper and Rabies for your pet ferrets.

Comprehensive Physical Examination:

Your pet’s protection against the deadly diseases is very important for their long, happy and healthy life. We, at Animal Hospital, combine your pet’s annual comprehensive physical exam with your pet’s annual vaccinations. We, also, complete the same exams on growing ferrets during the early age series vaccinations to assure that your young pet is growing up healthy and disease free. Pets age much faster than us, so the importance of regular thorough physical exams cannot be overemphasized. Whether or not annual vaccinations are done for your pet – the annual comprehensive physical exam should be routine!
