If you have noticed any one of the signs noted in the above chart, your pet may be suffering from Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome, (CDS). Anipryl has recently been approved to treat dogs suffering from CDS, thereby re-capturing the good times of years gone by. We, at Animal Hospital, would like to "Brighten" your pet's golden years. We suggest a comprehensive physical examination and complete medical and behavioral history. A complete blood count, (CBC), biochemical profile, and urinalysis may identify other medical conditions contributing to the signs of CDS.

We offer several options to, not only make sure your pet is in good health, but determine an accurate diagnosis by exclusion of Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome. This gives you and your pet the best opportunity to regain the "Good Times" with proper medication. Please feel free to ask us about this treatable syndrome of older dogs.
