The Birds (wild!!)

This little Sawhet Owl suffered a fracture wing (humerus). First x-ray is post surgical and the second x-ray is 3 months later - ready to remove the intramedullary pin.

Frank and Lois Layton with one of their "friends"? Bald Eagles demand all respect you can muster!! This eagle was released in the Lander area in the spring on 1999.

This Ferruginous Hawk suffered a major fracture to it's humerus. We are hopeful for its full recovery and release back to the Wyoming skies!

owl.JPG (11526 bytes) owlxr.JPG (9905 bytes) This Great Horned Owl has a fracture of the radius and ulna of the left wing. The radiograph show the placement of an intramedullary pin (which will be removed in approximately 12 weeks).
